About Me:
Dr Charis Neocleous is a Pediatrician with a PhD in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology from the Medical School of the University Of Thessaly, Greece and a MSc in Pediatric Infectious Diseases from the Medical School of the University of Athens, Greece. He has completed his medical training in the specialty of Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics of the Thriasio General Hospital and the 2nd University Department of Pediatrics of the “Aglaia Kyriakou” Children Hospital. Additionally, he also worked in the 3rd University Department of Pediatrics of the Attikon Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics of the “Andreas Papandreou” Rhodes’ General Hospital and Drama’s General Hospital. In the academic year 2015-16, he worked as a lecturer in the Nursing School at the Cyprus University of Technology, coordinating the undergraduate module on Pathophysiology. Since 2020, he has been lecturing Pediatrics to undergraduate students in the Department of Nursing, School of Health Sciences at the Frederick University. Along with his teaching endeavors, he has been practicing Pediatrics within the National Health System of Cyprus since 2018, providing a full array of services to help children and their parent(s)/guardian(s) maintain good health. Besides, he has a keen interest in academic research; his research interests lie in the field of Infectious Diseases-Microbiology. So far, he has published more than 40 articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed scientific journals and conferences. His published work has been cited by more than 150 studies published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is a reviewer of the peer-reviewed journals Balkan Medical Journal, BMJ Cases Reports, Pediatric Immunology, Allergy and Pulmonology, Saudi Medical Journal and Journal of Neurology and Neurosurgery. He is a member of the European Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID), the Greek Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom (GMC).
